Frameshot is a Chrome extension that captures screenshots of web pages. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: none).

Data Collection

Frameshot does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• No analytics or tracking scripts
• No data sent to external servers
• No cookies
• No account or sign-in required

Local Storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save your preferences and screenshot history on your device. All captured screenshots are stored locally on your machine. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum permissions required:

• activeTab — to capture a screenshot of the currently active tab
• storage — to save your preferences and settings locally
• downloads — to save captured screenshots to your device
• tabs — to access tab information for screenshot labelling
• contextMenus — to provide a right-click option to capture a screenshot
• sidePanel — to allow opening the extension in Chrome's side panel
• scripting — to inject the area selection overlay when you choose to capture a specific region of a page

Third-Party Services

Frameshot does not use any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs.
